Bridge Inspector Apprentice
We're looking for a Bridge Inspector Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician.
TransportationBuild and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800
Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?As a Bridge Inspector Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team supporting the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your Day To Day Will Include- Learning how to act safely on site and be responsible for yourself and other inspectors
- Supporting in identifying defects and determining causes in a highway structure
- Learning technical report writing skills
- Being responsible for contractual inspection KPI as a team
- Managing the asset database and learning how to keep it up to date for accuracy
The role of Bridge Inspector Apprentice is great for you if you:
- Have GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English OR Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English
- Are punctual, self‑motivated, and willing to learn
- Have the ability to handle physical work in varying weather conditions
- Have the ability to work collaboratively with a team
