Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Engineer to join a leading residential developer with a strong pipeline of projects across the South East. This is a key technical role within a well-established Design & Technical team, where you will take ownership of infrastructure coordination across multiple residential developments. The business is known for delivering high-quality housing schemes, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence.

  • Oversee external consultants producing infrastructure designs, ensuring outputs are practical, compliant, and cost-effective.
  • Support the progression of Section 38, Section 104 and Section 278 agreements, ensuring timely approvals and delivery alignment.
  • Track technical deliverables and help ensure infrastructure packages are delivered in line with build programmes.
  • Review engineering proposals, providing input on buildability, value engineering, and technical compliance.
  • Work closely with local authorities, statutory bodies, utility companies, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and progress schemes.
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical or infrastructure-focused role.
  • Background in residential development, consultancy, or civil engineering design.
  • Strong understanding of highways, drainage, and utility coordination.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with Autodesk software packages (desirable).
  • Knowledge of PDS or Micro Drainage (beneficial but not essential).
Benefits
  • Salary up to £55k depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Exposure to a strong pipeline of residential development projects.
  • Genuine career progression within a growing technical team.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of complex infrastructure packages.
  • Supportive, collaborative working culture with experienced technical leadership.
