I'm looking for a skilled Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing manufacturing operation, supporting the delivery of exceptional performance across production lines. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating and maintaining a world-class engineering environment focused on safety, reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This position offers excellent opportunities for technical development and career progression through both in‑house and external training programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with operational teams to improve key business performance measures while ensuring all machinery complies with Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
- Carry out effective risk assessments, hazard elimination activities, and ensure correct PPE implementation.
- Develop and implement robust planned maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and prevent catastrophic failures.
- Apply advanced fault‑finding and root cause analysis techniques to improve reliability metrics including MTBF and MTTR.
- Create and maintain SOPs and share engineering best practice across teams.
- Build strong working relationships with operations, engineering, and external contractors to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Support the engineering strategy relating to maintenance, asset care, energy, and equipment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Collaborate closely with Continuous Improvement, Asset Care, and Maintenance teams to enhance operational standards.
- HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge within production operations.
- Experience working with PLCs, HMIs/MMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Understanding of safety systems including permit‑to‑work, isolation procedures, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving capabilities.
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
