Buyer / Cost Reduction Project Buyer Peterborough, Cambridgeshire £43.00 ph FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35), £32.25 paye - Fully Office based 5 days pw Min 12 month contract, although potentially may extend Are you a buyer / supply chain specialist or purchasing person looking to work with an prestigious & expanding company? Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Hourly Rate: £43.00 FCSA Umbrella, £32.25 paye Specific Responsibilities Point of contact for the procurement team, managing procurement dependencies across the manufacturing facility. Previous experience of delivering cost reduction projects within a engineering manufacturing environment high advantageous. Create the procurement strategies communicating clear cost, time and quality deliverables to key stakeholders. Supplier nomination, ensuring robust evaluation of supplier capacity and capability.

Management reporting to evidence performance against key targets. Weekly Reporting on outsourcing KPIs. Contract Negotiation and Agreeing T&Cs as per Standard T&Cs procedure Strong MS Project (or Similar), Project Ownership & Excel Skills for Data Interpretation Managing risks and opportunities registers. To plan and present plan gateways as per the internal procedure CIPS preferred or currently studying for CIPS Long term contract (12 months min, although potential to extend) This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties, but it is intended to give a general indication of the range of work undertaken and will vary in detail in the light of changing demands and priorities within the department.
