Associate Mechanical Director

Your new company Our client is a well-established Building Services Design Consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative, energy-efficient and low-carbon engineering solutions across the UK. Established for over 25 years, they operate from multiple regional offices and work across a diverse range of sectors within the built environment.

Sustainability sits at the heart of their approach, with a strong focus on helping clients reduce carbon emissions, improve building performance and achieve Net Zero ambitions. Due to continued growth within their Midlands operation, they are seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Director to join their Birmingham team. Your new role As Associate Mechanical Director, you will play a key leadership role within the mechanical team, overseeing the delivery of complex building services projects from concept through to completion.

You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, managing client relationships, supporting business development activities and mentoring engineers across the team. Working closely with other senior leaders, you will help drive the continued growth and success of the Birmingham office whilst maintaining high technical and commercial standards.

The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and low-carbon design solutions What you'll need to succeed Proven experience within Mechanical Building Services Design Consultancy environments. Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing client relationships. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, public health and sustainable building services solutions. Ability to mentor and develop engineers at varying levels of experience.

Commercial awareness and experience contributing to business growth. Chartered Engineer status, or close to achieving chartership, would be advantageous.
