Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a well established FMCG Manufacturer in Northampton in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to complete reactive and preventative maintenance, as well as continious improvement for the site. This would suit a well-versed Maintenance Engineer with a 70/30 or 80/20 Mechanical Electrical split.

Multi-Skilled Engineer

Northampton
Salary:
Up to £55,000 plus overtime
Shift Pattern: 6am-6pm Panama shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out predominantly mechanical maintenance (approximately 70/30 or 80/20 split) across production equipment systems.
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on high-speed bottling and packaging machinery to ensure continuous operation.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults, with supporting electrical fault-finding when required to minimise downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and implement mechanical improvements to enhance reliability and production efficiency.
Support production teams by ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently, and within performance targets.
Maintain accurate maintenance records while adhering to health, safety, and engineering compliance standards.

Requirements:

Strong multi-skilled engineering background within FMCG or similar fast-paced manufacturing environments with high-volume production demands.
Competent in mechanical fault-finding, with supporting electrical knowledge for effective problem-solving on-site.
Proactive and detail-oriented approach, focused on continuous improvement and reducing equipment downtime.
Relevant engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above in mechanical, electrical, or related disciplines
