• Carrying out site visits when required, producing layouts, and liaising directly with clients to understand their needs
• Managing incoming enquiries, producing accurate take-offs, and preparing cost estimates for a variety of mechanical installations
• Compiling tender submissions with precise and competitive pricing
• Identifying opportunities for value engineering and suggesting cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality
• Working closely with project managers to build strong, competitive bids
• Sourcing supplier and subcontractor quotations, and negotiating to secure the best terms

• Experience in an estimating role within the mechanical contracting sector
• Confident in reading drawings, preparing take-offs, and producing accurate costings
• Able to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and supply chain partners
• Skilled at negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors to achieve best value
• Organised, detail-focused, and able to balance multiple deadlines
