Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer

Our international client is currently searching for a Senior Epitaxy Equipment Engineer to provide equipment engineering and technical support to the Epitaxy team, ensuring high equipment uptime, supporting production, fault finding, maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily maintenance with Manufacturing and Process teams
Maintain, troubleshoot and improve MOVPE/MOCVD and associated semiconductor equipment
Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning and new-tool procurement
Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to maximise uptime
Provide technical guidance to Shift Technicians and supervise contractors/service engineers
Support equipment moves, cleanroom projects and shutdown activities, including occasional weekend overtime
Liaise with suppliers and specialist service providers
Essential Qualifications &

Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ semiconductor/wafer fab or epitaxy engineering experience
Strong experience with MOVPE and/or MOCVD
Good knowledge of vacuum systems, Hi-Vac, pumps, leak testing, pneumatics and PLCs
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
HNC/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
Desirable:
Aixtron MOVPE reactor or other CVD experience
Semiconductor process gas systems and Mass Flow Controllers
