Mac Gregor Black are partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed international organisation on the search for a Head of Commercial Finance & Group FP&A. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role supporting an ambitious global growth agenda.

This position combines commercial business partnering, strategic financial planning, and Group-wide FP&A leadership. You will act as a key partner to the CFO and Executive Team, driving insight, profitability, and performance across a multi-entity, multi-currency business.

• Act as a strategic commercial finance partner to Sales, Marketing, and Operations, delivering insight to shape pricing, margin, and growth decisions.
• Integrate S&OP and financial planning processes to ensure alignment across commercial, operational, and financial goals.
• Produce insightful analysis and reporting across business units, customers, and product lines, identifying risks, opportunities, and value creation levers.
• Lead the Group FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management across multiple international entities.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, data warehouse tools, and reporting capabilities to support timely, data-driven decision-making.
• Partner closely with investors and the Executive Team on value creation initiatives, Board materials, and performance reporting.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Commercial Finance and FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in senior commercial finance leadership within FMCG, lighting, or related sectors.
• Experience working in a private equity–backed or high-growth international environment.
• Strong understanding of multi-currency, multi-entity financial management.
• Advanced skills in Power BI or equivalent BI tools, data warehousing, and dynamic financial modelling (P&L, Cash Flow & Balance Sheet).
• Hands‑on experience with consolidation software and report building is desirable.
• Proven expertise in S&OP integration and cross‑functional business partnering.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercially minded, analytical, proactive, and focused on driving growth and profitability.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Motivated self‑starter who thrives in collaborative, ambitious settings.
