Finance Projects Accountant

We are recruiting a Finance Projects Accountant to join a large, complex organisation operating in a multi-entity environment. This role will support a range of finance transformation, process improvement, and control enhancement projects across transactional finance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong financial or project accounting experience who enjoys working in change-focused finance environments.
The Role- Support finance projects by embedding standardised processes, controls, and ways of working across transactional finance teams
- Assist with the transition and stabilisation of activities into centralised finance models
- Support automation initiatives within transactional finance, including documentation, testing, testing support, training, and system change implementation
- Identify and help deliver process improvements across balance sheet management, accounts payable, billing, and reporting
- Support the documentation, review, testing, and embedding of financial controls in line with audit and governance frameworks
- Provide project and operational finance support through analysis, reconciliations, and collaboration with stakeholders
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to senior finance stakeholders
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in financial accounting, project accounting, or finance transformation roles
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and governance (IFRS exposure beneficial)
- Exposure to finance transformation, automation, or systems change initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and working knowledge of Power BI and Power Point
- Proactive, organised, and confident working in fast-paced environments
