You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, working closely with operational stakeholders to ensure results reflect real business activity. This role offers real ownership of the month‑end process, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to develop and lead others as the team continues to grow.
- Play a central role in delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Support the Finance Manager in leading and developing a team of Assistant Management Accountants
- Coordinate key elements of the month‑end close, ensuring deadlines are met
- Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and general ledger journals
- Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Deliver clear, insightful variance analysis and commentary
- Work closely with FP&A and operational teams to ensure financial results reflect business activity
- Support statutory accounts preparation and audit processes
- Drive improvements in processes, controls, and ways of working
- Get involved in ad hoc analysis and wider finance projects
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA), or qualified by experience
- Strong hands‑on experience of month‑end close and management accounts
- Confident working with accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Able to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable working to deadlines
- Exposure to fast‑growing or private equity‑backed environments
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior finance staff
