Finance Director | Consumer | East Midlands | c. £175,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Zachary Daniels Finance are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and long established consumer business to appoint a Finance Director.

This is a pivotal leadership appointment within a fast‑paced, multi‑channel organisation that continues to experience strong growth across the UK and international markets. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, you will play a key role in shaping business strategy, driving performance and supporting the next phase of the company’s evolution.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious and commercially minded Finance Director/CFO seeking a broad leadership role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

As Finance Director, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the business, ensuring robust governance, insightful decision‑making and strong financial performance.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partner with the CEO and Board to shape and deliver long‑term business strategy
• Provide commercial challenge and financial insight to support key decision‑making
• Support growth initiatives, investment opportunities and strategic projects

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior stakeholders
• Drive performance through meaningful KPI reporting and analysis
• Maintain strong cashflow, working capital and balance sheet management

• Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and risk management frameworks
• Lead relationships with auditors, banking partners and external advisors
• Maintain a strong governance environment capable of supporting continued growth

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams across the organisation
• Support pricing, investment appraisal and business performance initiatives

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team
• Build organisational capability and succession plans
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration

• Drive finance transformation initiatives across systems, reporting and processes
• Improve the quality, accessibility and utilisation of management information
• Champion automation, efficiency and scalability across the finance function

We are seeking a commercially astute finance leader with:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Proven success in a senior finance leadership position
• Experience operating within a complex, fast‑paced commercial environment
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen
• Board‑level communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
• The ability to balance operational excellence with long‑term strategic thinking
• A collaborative leadership style and strong personal credibility
