SENIOR ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER NORTHAMPTON

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Senior Assistant Finance Manager to join our team in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have experience within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or multi-cost environments. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be a confident communicator able to partner with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day plus 0.5 unpaid break.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What

you'll do on a typical day:
  • Produce timely and accurate weekly and monthly management accounts for multiple customers and operational cost centres
  • Lead variance analysis and commentary, clearly explaining performance drivers and highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Support month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and KPI reporting
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and rolling outlooks
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, or actively studying toward qualification
  • Experience with in a multi-user warehousing or 3PL environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proactive, curious, and commercially minded
  • High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/finance systems
