As a Corporate Finance Manager at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust, you’ll play a central role in maintaining and strengthening the financial health of vital children’s services. Established in November 2020, the Trust is dedicated to delivering the best possible opportunities for children across Northamptonshire, providing children’s social care and targeted early help services on behalf of North and West Northamptonshire Councils.

You’ll join a dynamic and supportive finance team as a senior leader, reporting to the Head of Finance and managing a team of finance professionals. Based in Northampton, this role also offers the flexibility of hybrid working.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of key corporate finance functions, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.

You will:

• Lead the corporate finance processes, ensuring all responsibilities are delivered accurately and on time
• Provide expert financial insight, evaluating and advising on financial implications across the organisation
• Drive the development and continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures
• Oversee VAT management and cash flow across the Trust
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
• Work closely with senior leaders and operational teams, ensuring financial information supports effective decision-making

This is a strategic and hands-on role where you’ll have real influence and visibility across the organisation.

You will be a CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant with ongoing professional development and experience of working in local government.

You have a strong track record of managing, motivating, and developing teams, ensuring objectives are met
