Northamptonshire A well-established, client-focused wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its growing team in Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business that values long-term client relationships, high-quality advice, and professional excellence. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering holistic financial planning and is committed to supporting both its clients and employees for the long term.
The Role This position offers a unique opportunity to inherit and develop an existing client bank, while also benefiting from a steady flow of new enquiries generated through referrals and the firm's strong brand presence. Working closely with the Financial Planning Director, you will provide holistic financial planning advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances and long-term objectives. The successful candidate will focus on nurturing and expanding client relationships while delivering exceptional ongoing service.
Supported by an experienced paraplanning and administration team, you will be able to concentrate on advising clients rather than back-office responsibilities. This role would suit an adviser who is looking for a supportive environment where they can maximise their expertise and continue developing their career.
Key Responsibilities Provide holistic financial planning and regulated advice across pensions, investments, protection, and inheritance tax (IHT) planning. Conduct detailed fact-finding meetings, cashflow modelling, and suitability assessments. Create and present tailored financial plans aligned with clients' objectives and risk profiles. Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular reviews and proactive communication. Ensure all advice meets regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
Work closely with paraplanners to produce accurate research and suitability reports. Stay up to date with legislative changes, market developments, and industry best practice. Candidate Profile Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential). Previous adviser experience within a financial planning or IFA environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A genuine passion for building and maintaining long-term client relationships. A collaborative, ethical, and client-focused approach to financial planning.
Benefits Competitive bonus scheme. Ongoing support and mentoring from experienced Financial Planners. 5% employer pension contribution. Death in Service cover of four times salary. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Full support for CII qualifications and ongoing professional development. Private medical insurance.
