A council based in Sussex are looking for an experienced
Environmental Health Officer to join their Private Sector Housing team.
The officer must be experienced in both Private Sector Housing and Disabled Facilities Grant.
What's in it for you- £45-50p/h
- Start date of mid to end of September
- 3 month contract (likely extension)
- 37 hours per week
- Hybrid Working
- Investigate housing disrepair, poor housing conditions and public health complaints, taking enforcement action where required.
- Conduct inspections using the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and provide recommendations to improve housing standards.
- Work closely with landlords, property owners and tenants to ensure compliance with housing legislation.
- Assess and administer Disabled Facilities Grants and discretionary funding, helping residents remain independent in their homes.
