OverviewWe are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our award-winning team. The successful candidate will work to support the catering function, maintain high hygiene standards, and demonstrate a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
Job responsibilities- Understand the principles of safe food handling and ensure all food preparations meet high standards of hygiene.
- Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues, and action reasonable work instructions promptly.
- Advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
- Act toward residents and their visitors with respect for dignity and individuality.
- Shift details: 07:00–19:00 with alternative weekend shifts.

Required qualifications and attributes- Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Be an efficient worker, capable of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
- Demonstrate initiative and a positive, flexible attitude toward teamwork.
- Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude toward residents.

- A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
