Job Role - Care Manager, Elderly & Dementia
Location - Northampton
Salary - £38,000 - £40,000 DOE

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality care within our elderly and dementia care service. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about person-centred care and committed to improving the quality of life for older people living with dementia.

As Care Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and person-centred care while leading and supporting a team of care staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care service
  • Ensure high standards of care for elderly residents, including those living with dementia
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to residents' individual needs
  • Supervise, support, and develop care staff through training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and care regulations
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within elderly or dementia care
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care and dementia best practice
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage teams, resolve issues, and maintain high care standards
  • Knowledge of care regulations and safeguarding practices
Desirable
  • Experience managing within a residential or nursing care setting
  • Experience preparing for inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Additional dementia care training or qualifications
