Job Title
Therapies Assistant
LocationNew Barn School, Berkshire RG20 8HZ
Salary£25,837.50 FTE DOE
Hours37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
ContractFixed Term – 1 Year, Term‑Time only
Essential Qualifications- 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English
- Evidence of relevant Post‑16 education
- Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required
- Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role
- Experience with in an educational setting
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of working with children and young people with SEN
- Ability to carry out both 1:1 and group sessions under supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication with clients, carers, families, and professionals
- Strong organisational skills and experience completing administration tasks for a team
- Support Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high‑quality therapy sessions
- Provide evidence‑based assessments and interventions under the supervision of qualified clinicians
- Assist in creating communication and sensory profiles for pupils
- Contribute to placement plans and deliver a range of interventions tailored to individual needs
- Observe and co‑facilitate staff training sessions
- Attend multi‑agency meetings and support ongoing service development
- Engage in regular professional development via internal forums and external training funding
