£25,837.50 FTE DOE

Hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Contract

Fixed Term – 1 Year, Term‑Time only

Essential Qualifications
  • 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English
  • Evidence of relevant Post‑16 education
  • Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Required Experience
  • Working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role
  • Experience with in an educational setting
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with children and young people with SEN
  • Ability to carry out both 1:1 and group sessions under supervision
  • Effective written and verbal communication with clients, carers, families, and professionals
  • Strong organisational skills and experience completing administration tasks for a team
Responsibilities
  • Support Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering high‑quality therapy sessions
  • Provide evidence‑based assessments and interventions under the supervision of qualified clinicians
  • Assist in creating communication and sensory profiles for pupils
  • Contribute to placement plans and deliver a range of interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Observe and co‑facilitate staff training sessions
  • Attend multi‑agency meetings and support ongoing service development
  • Engage in regular professional development via internal forums and external training funding
