Support ​/ Care Worker (Day centre

We are seeking a Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to adult individuals with learning disabilities including autism and challenging behaviours.

• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and toileting.
• Provide tailored care and support to meet individual needs.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to support challenging behaviours.
• Offer companionship and emotional support; build meaningful connections.
• Collaborate with health professionals, e.g., nurses, for holistic care.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment.

• Experience in adult social care or transferable experience (e.g., gardening, hairdressing).
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Understanding of behaviour‑management techniques for complex needs.
• Valid driving licence (age 21+). Ability to operate company vehicles.
• Willingness to work your share of weekends (usually 1 in 4 weeks).
• Physical ability to handle/push wheelchairs and support users.
• Available for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00–16:00.

• Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour with overtime option.
• Minimum 4‑week rota notice; weekend shifts planned in advance.
