Job summary

We have
an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Pharmacist Emergency Medicine at West
Hertfordshire Hospital NHS Trust to join the Pharmacy Department at Watford
General Hospital. You will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day
activities of Pre-registration Pharmacists, Band 6 Pharmacists, Clinical
Technicians, Assistants, and undergraduate Pharmacy students within the
department. You will support the efficient utilisation of pharmacy staff across
your area of rotation, ensuring smooth service delivery, and actively
contribute to departmental Clinical Governance meetings to maintain high
standards of practice and continuous service improvement.

Main duties of the jobAs an Advanced
Pharmacist Emergency Medicine, you will be responsible for assisting the Lead
Pharmacist in the provision and ongoing development of clinical pharmacy
services across wards at the Watford site and wider Trust. You will be managing
and supporting a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, ensuring
therapeutic goals are met for both patients and prescribers. You will also be
responsible for monitoring prescriptions to ensure safe, cost-effective, and
evidence-based prescribing, while actively promoting adherence to the Trust
formulary.

indications is clear, accurate, and tailored to the recipients level of
understanding.
To act as a role model in training and education, supporting the

To contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols,

Person Specification

Qualifications

EssentialHCPC registered Pharmacist.

Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
