We are looking for a caring, motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Shift Leader at Obelisk House.

As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, leading shifts and supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding care. Working closely with the management team, you will coordinate workloads, provide guidance and support to staff, contribute to care planning, and ensure residents' changing needs are met.

You will be responsible for the safe ordering, monitoring and administration of medication, maintaining accurate records, supporting staff development and ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support. You will also help promote residents' independence, wellbeing and quality of life, ensuring they are treated with dignity, respect and compassion at all times.

This role is based on a 7.5-hour shift pattern, working a mix of early shifts (7:30am to 3:00pm) and late shifts (2:30pm to 10:00pm), including alternate weekends.

You may be an experienced Senior Care Worker who has stepped up to support management responsibilities and is looking for a permanent leadership opportunity, or an existing Shift Leader seeking to further develop your leadership skills and career within social care.

To be considered for this role, you will come with experience working within a social care setting and hold a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent).

You will be passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our residents. You'll enjoy working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

It would be beneficial if you have experience leading or supporting colleagues, maintaining accurate records, contributing to care planning or working closely with families and external professionals. Experience as a key worker, supporting residents to access services and entitlements, or assisting with rota planning and workforce coordination would also be advantageous.

We would also welcome knowledge of safeguarding, CQC standards, health and safety, infection prevention and control, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the use of digital care systems. A Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, would be an advantage.

Please note that this role does not meet the legal requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. We cannot accept applications from individuals requiring sponsorship for this position.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS check. As the position involves regulated activity, a check against both the Children's and Adults' Barred Lists will also be undertaken.
