An exciting opportunity has arisen for an autonomous, dynamic, and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at Jamieson Medical Practice delivering high quality, person-centred care to our patient population.
This is a permanent part-time/full time post, offering the opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
About UsJamieson Medical Practice is a large, well-established two-site practice serving approximately 15,400 patients in Chryston and Moodiesburn.

You will be part of a highly experienced and supportive team, including:
- 5 GP Partners
- 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- 3 Practice Nurses
- Practice Pharmacist and Pharmacy Hub
- Mental Health Nurse
- Occupational Therapist
- Community hub providing phlebotomy, treatment room services, and support from the CTAC team
- GP Link Worker
- District Nurses and Health Visiting Team
- Dedicated and experienced administrative team
The successful candidate will:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient presentations from initial history taking, clinical assessment, and physical examination through to diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate referral or discharge. Roles involve urgent care triage, same-day consultation clinics
- Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and assessment skills to form differential diagnoses for acute and chronic presentations.
- Prescribe medication autonomously as a registered Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) within your scope of practice.
- Request, undertake, and interpret diagnostic tests and investigations.
- Make autonomous decisions to admit, refer, or discharge patients using established clinical pathways.
- Work alongside on call doctor to provide patient care.
- Registered Nurse (NMC registration)
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice
- Experience in primary care or transferable clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven autonomous decision-making experience within primary care, urgent care, or general practice.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and clinical competence
- Experience using Vision and Docman systems
