Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking for flexible work in a friendly GP practice?

Caldbeck Surgery is looking for a short term Bank Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for imminent cover.

• Mondays all day
• Tuesdays all day
• Friday mornings
• Additional bank sessions available to cover annual leave and sickness.

• Taking blood samples and carrying out phlebotomy
• Recording blood pressure, pulse, height, weight and other observations
• Supporting NHS health checks and routine monitoring
• ECGs and other clinical measurements within your competency
• Preparing patients for clinical reviews
• Supporting our nursing and wider clinical team
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Working safely and in accordance with practice policies and procedures

• An experienced and competent Healthcare Assistant
• Confident undertaking phlebotomy
• Friendly, approachable and patient-centred
• Reliable and well organised
• A good team player who enjoys working collaboratively
• Committed to providing a high standard of patient care
• Able to work independently while recognising when to seek support

Previous GP practice experience would be an advantage.
