Overview
Reed Talent Solutions is hiring in Northampton Distribution Centre for a fixed-term onboarding role. The start date is 17th August, with a contract until November 2026. Shift pattern:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. This role supports one of Reed's key clients and involves coordinating candidate onboarding and registrations for Royal Mail sites across the country.
The Registration Specialist works as part of the candidate onboarding team, supporting candidates through their registration journey to ensure they are prepared to begin work. This is a fast-paced, structured, and target-driven role responsible for contacting candidates, scheduling registration appointments, managing candidate flow, conducting registrations, supporting candidates through the process, and ensuring all compliance requirements are completed accurately. The role manages candidates through onboarding to ensure they complete required checks, profiles, and documentation so they are compliant, correctly registered, and ready for deployment.
Responsibilities- Contacting candidates by phone to arrange and schedule registration appointments
- Managing candidate arrivals and the flow of attendees at registrations
- Coordinating walk-in candidates and supporting them through the registration process
- Conducting face-to-face registration appointments
- Supporting candidates with registrations where required and guiding them to complete the process accurately
- Checking and verifying candidate documentation, including right to work requirements
- Guiding candidates through the criminal record check application process and ensuring accurate submission
- Ensuring candidates provide accurate information and complete all onboarding steps
- Creating and maintaining candidate profiles on internal systems
- Updating internal tracking systems with registration outcomes and progress
- Monitoring candidates through the onboarding journey and following up as needed
- Ensuring candidates are compliant and ready for work
- Managing a high volume of candidates while working toward daily/weekly registration targets, KPIs, and SLAs
- Maintaining accuracy and compliance across multiple systems
- Experience in customer service, recruitment, administration, onboarding, or a candidate-facing environment
- Confident communicating with candidates over the phone, online, and face-to-face
- Ability to manage high volumes in a busy environment while maintaining service standards
- Strong communication skills for guiding candidates through detailed processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to review documentation
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, target-driven environments
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple candidates
- High level of computer literacy, especially MS Office and internal systems
