Here at GXO, we’re looking for an HR Advisor to join our site supporting a prestigious fashion retailer. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, generalist HR service across the operation. Acting as a trusted partner to managers, you’ll provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, support engagement initiatives and coach leaders to build capability.
This is a varied role where you’ll balance operational priorities with longer‑term people initiatives, contributing to a positive, high‑performing workplace culture.
This role is being offered on a 12‑month FTC basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 or 09:00 to 17:00

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,000 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays). Whatyou’ll do on a typical day
- Provide expert advice to managers and colleagues on employee relations, absence, performance, discipline and grievance matters, ensuring consistency and fairness
- Contribute to engagement activities, HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage a varied ER caseload, ensuring compliance with employment law, policies and best practice
- Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the function
- Lead absence management, long‑term sickness and return‑to‑work processes, driving initiatives to reduce absence levels
- Experience in a similar HR Advisor or generalist role, ideally within a fast‑paced operational or logistics environment
- Able to build trusted relationships at all levels and challenge with credibility and professionalism
- Confident advising on policies, employee relations and change management, with excellent attention to detail
- Experience or exposure to payroll processes
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards this
