Senior Infrastructure Consultant

Strong Infrastructure Consultant to help design, implement, and optimize IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud, storage) for a IT team within a F1 racing team.

You dont need an F1 background - but a passion for racing is highly appreciated.

Key 5 days a week on site during race season (no shift work)! BUT win bonus’ available for the efforts :)

You will provide expert technical consultancy, lead migration/upgrade projects, and ensure enterprise-grade security and performance. Key skills include cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), virtualization, network protocols, and strong client-facing / stakeholder communication skills.

HLD / LLD and hands-on work are part of this role.

• Design & Strategy:
  Develop infrastructure strategies, high-level designs, and roadmaps for network, server, and cloud solutions.
• Implementation:
  Lead and manage the deployment of hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure.
• Consulting & Analysis:
  Assess existing client IT environments, identifying improvements and potential risks.
• Project Management:
  Drive projects, acting as a technical lead, liaising with vendors, and providing status updates to stakeholders.
• Support & Optimization:
  Perform advanced troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and security enhancements (e.g., Power Shell automation).
• Documentation:
  Create detailed technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and security policies.

• Technical Expertise:
  Strong background in Windows/Linux servers, data center operations, and storage (SAN, NAS, Veeam).
• Cloud & Networking:
  Experience with Azure/AWS, virtualization (VMware/VDI), and network routing/switching (Cisco).
• Certifications:
  
  VCP (VMware),
  CCNP (Cisco), or Microsoft Certified Professional.
• Communication:
  Proven ability to translate complex technical issues to business stakeholders and manage client expectations.
• Experience:
  
  3-8 years IT infrastructure roles, often involving consultancy or project delivery.
