Data Quality Remediation Lead

Located in the UK Corporate Chief Data Analytics Office, this role develops, implements, and maintains governance frameworks for all client data and records across the bank’s global operations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data and records governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor data quality and records metrics, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Identify, assess, and remediate data and records management risks and gaps.
  • Design and execute a records management programme covering identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval, and disposal.
  • Implement a data governance strategy that supports the bank’s overall data strategy and business objectives.
  • Provide group-wide guidance and training on Data and Records Management standard requirements.
  • Manage governance policies, processes, budgets, and resources, driving continuous improvement and escalating breaches of policy.
  • Lead and influence cross‑functional stakeholder collaborations, advising senior leadership on governance, risk, and control matters.
  • For direct reports: define roles, coach team members, and oversee multi‑year assignments that integrate cross‑disciplinary expertise.
Qualifications
  • Experience in data quality root‑cause analysis and remediation of large data volumes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, prioritising remediation based on risk and business value.
  • Proficient in data analytics to support data‑driven decision making.
  • Experience leveraging AI to enhance business processes.
  • Familiarity with data profiling tools.
  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (preferred).
Location

This role can be based out of Glasgow or Northampton.
