Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice First Line Technical Support to join their team in Earls Barton NN6.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and technically minded individual who is keen to develop their skills and builda career within the telecoms and technology industry.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A friendly andapproachable personality - this will be a customer-facing role, so we're looking for someone who is confident dealing with people and represents the company professionally.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner - comfortable speakingwith customers both over the phone and in person.
  • A BTEC or A Levelqualification in IT, Computing or a related subject - providing a good foundation of technical knowledge.
  • A genuine interest in technology - someone who enjoys technology, is naturallycurious about how things work and keeps an interest in new products and developments.
  • A willingness to learn - previous telecoms experience isn't essential. We're looking for someone enthusiastic about developing new skills and learning about areas suchas VoIP phone systems, broadband, networking and other business technologies.
  • A practical,problem-solving mindset - someone who enjoys working through problems, troubleshooting issues and finding solutions.
  • Good organisation and attention to detail - able to follow processes, keep accurate records and complete work to a high standard.
  • A full UK driving licence - the role will involvetravelling to customer sites when required.
  • Lives within approximately 25 minutes' drive of Earls Barton - ideally within the wider Northampton, Wellingborough, Rushden,Kettering and surrounding area.
The Type of Person We're Looking For

Qualifications and technical ability are important, but attitude and personality are equally important to us. We're looking for someone who is personable, reliable and eager to learn.

The right candidate doesn't need to know everything from day one. Wewant someone with a good foundation in IT and a genuine enthusiasm for technology who can develop their technical knowledge through training and handson experience.

They should be equally comfortable working with technology and dealing with people, providing customers with a friendly, professional and helpfulexperience.
