Job Specification

To assist in the smooth running of the depot and undertake work duties instructed by the centre manager.

Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable.

Day to day assistance of the trade counter: maintaining sufficient stock levels as per depot stock list, ensuring the depot is kept clean and tidy inside and outside, and liaising with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.

To provide assistance to centre staff within the franchise when requested.

Good personal presentation and adherence to Pirtek policies and procedures.

Effectively communicate technical information to engineering personnel.

Successful completion of the Pirtek Induction and Training programmes (based in Birmingham) and subsequent on‑site assessments as requested by management.

Work Experience

GCSE in English and Maths.

Obtain sufficient technical knowledge and understanding of fluid power operations via exposure to a varied customer base over a sustained period of time.

Successful completion of a residential training course in the Midlands accredited to City & Guilds standard.

Full UK driving licence.

Career path: start a career within Pirtek. Progress is determined by individual application and may lead to senior engineer, specialist engineer or management roles.
