- Some experience in vehicle maintenance and repair and customer service.
- Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less; category BE (towing) will be funded if not held.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Salary: £29,350 (based on an average 40‑hour working week). On Target Earnings: top performers can earn upwards of £44,000.
Start date:
13 April 2026.
Due to essential training requirements, annual leave cannot be taken between 13 April and 31 May.
Programme Overview- Duration: 18 months, with workshops led by in‑house training experts.
- Mentorship: paired with a seasoned patrol expert for one‑on‑one guidance.

practical on‑the‑job experience. - Certification: earn IMI and EV certifications.
- Outcome: fully competent roadside AA patrol with potential for increased pay and benefits.

paid throughout the day, with sign‑on locations available for discussion. - Standby hours: choose preferences annually to suit work‑life balance.
- Provide roadside assistance and vehicle maintenance as a trainee mechanic.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand and explain needed repairs.
- Operate within all safety and quality standards set by the AA.
