We are an expanding PAT and Compliance Company looking for engineers to join our team in Northampton. We offer self‑employed positions with flexible hours, allowing part‑time or full‑time work.

All applicants should have a reasonable commuting distance to Northampton. The role offers earnings on a pro‑rata basis depending on the rate per appliance, number of tests and job dynamics. Jobs range from one‑day projects to long‑term contracts.

Requirements:
Own transport, equipment; hold City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent; be reliable, honest, and have a can‑do attitude. All testing instruments must be up‑to‑date and meet regulations.

A typical day starts by packing tools and equipment into the van before heading to the first job.

On site, you test appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers, ensuring they are safe. You inform users of results and explain any issues.

You record findings in a PAT test report book or electronic system and provide employers with copies. Additional paperwork, such as completion certificates and checklists, may be required.

Throughout the day you move between locations, alone or with a team, requiring organization and accuracy.
