Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (40 hours)
Salary:
Up to £75,000 Basic

About the Company:

A large nationwide fleet business is seeking an experienced Bid & Tenders Manager to join their Northampton team.

The Role:

You will lead and manage the full end-to-end tender process for long and short-term hire solutions. Acting as the key link between commercial, operational and client-facing teams, you’ll ensure submissions are professionally written, commercially sound and competitively priced. This is a pivotal role focused on securing major contracts, maintaining framework positions and leading a high-performing team to successful contract implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all business tender submissions from initial review to final submission
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant bids
  • Ensure commercial viability and competitive pricing strategies
  • Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the bid lifecycle
  • Oversee successful contract mobilisation following award
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing public sector bids and tenders to tight deadlines
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of public sector procurement regulations
  • Ability to manage multi-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Professional, client-focused approach
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Local Government services
  • Experience with digital procurement platforms (e.g. Delta eSourcing, Proactis)
  • Background in commercial vehicle or logistics sectors
  • Understanding of ESG, Net Zero and Social Value in procurement
  • APMP or Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2)
