Main Purpose of the Role
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for Land and Partnerships Director to join us, setting the direction of our Land and Partnerships function in our South Midlands region; leading the team to acquire land in line with the region's five‑year business plan. This role will be based from the regional office in Northampton, and will require travel to sites across the region, including Essex and North Kent.
Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting the direction and strategy for land acquisition. They will be a member of the Regional Board, contributing to the wider business at Regional, Divisional and Group levels where required. The post holder will lead the delivery of land and coordinate with all other departments to meet the Regional strategy.
They will also agree the land strategy with Group/Division and MD/Regional Board, and manage the land bank to deliver targets. They will lead a team, ensuring high performance levels within the department, challenging others to drive performance improvement without damaging confidence levels or performance output.
Skills, Knowledge, ExperienceWe are looking for an established Land and Partnerships leader who embodies our Keepmoat values; a creative and resilient individual with a flexible and agile approach to Land and Partnerships, and an enthusiastic, self‑motivated, solutions‑focused approach. They will be collaborative and skilled in relationship building and stakeholder engagement, with experience in developing strategies and influencing senior decision makers, and strong negotiating and influencing skills.
They will take a straightforward approach and be able to balance risk with potential outcomes to drive business success, team, and personal achievement. They will be passionate about Land and Partnerships, with proven experience in Planning, Land Acquisition and Leadership.

Education and QualificationsEssential:
- Relevant industry requirements, e.g., Chartered Town Planner
Desirable:
- Coaching or Mentoring Qualification, e.g., ILM at level 5 or higher
