A leading Northampton based organisation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Repairs and Maintenance to lead the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing responsive repairs, voids, and cyclical maintenance, while driving service improvement, operational efficiency and excellent customer outcomes.

You will lead a large operational service including senior managers and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring services are compliant, high-performing and resident focused.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership across repairs, voids and maintenance services
Lead and develop high-performing teams across operational delivery
Manage large repairs budgets and ensure value for money
Oversee contractor performance, procurement and contract management
Ensure compliance with health & safety, regulatory and statutory requirements
Monitor performance through KPIs, reporting and service improvement initiatives
Drive a strong customer-first approach across repairs services

About You

Senior leadership experience within repairs, property maintenance or social housing
Strong knowledge of contract management and contractor performance
Proven experience managing large operational teams and budgets
Strong understanding of housing repairs, building maintenance and compliance
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
Full UK Driving licence
