Warehouse Team Manager – Northampton, Frozen Warehouse Operation (Sainsbury's)

This is a full‑time permanent role in our frozen warehouse operation, supporting Sainsbury's. You will manage and lead your own team, coaching, motivating and engaging them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

Working any 5 days from 07:00 to 22:00.

Pay, benefits and more

Salary up to £33,280 per annum plus shift premium of £1.00 per hour on Saturdays, £1.50 per hour on Sundays, and £2.25 per hour after 18:00. You will also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What

you'll do on a typical day
  • Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs.
  • Drive performance through effective monitoring, coaching and performance reviews.
  • Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead the team proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation.
  • Manage the warehouse training requirement and function.
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation).
  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects while demonstrating excellent planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on‑site engagement.
