Head of Commercial Finance

Eutopia Search is partnering with a successful £100m turnover business to appoint a Head of Commercial Finance. This is a high-profile leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and develop a newly established commercial finance function while acting as a key business partner to the Managing Director and wider operational leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of five and play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance, improving financial visibility, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Lead and develop a newly established Commercial Finance team of five.
• Partner closely with the Managing Director and operational leadership teams to influence performance and support business growth.
• Deliver meaningful commercial insight, analysis, and challenge to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Enhance reporting, controls, and decision-making by leveraging data and insights from operational systems.
• Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, budgeting, KPI reporting, and business performance analysis.
• Build strong relationships across Operations, balancing stakeholder expectations while maintaining financial rigour.
• Develop a high-performing, motivated finance team capable of adding real value to the wider business.

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused finance leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment and thrives on solving problems.

You will likely be:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• An experienced commercial finance leader with a track record of business partnering senior stakeholders.
• A strong people manager with the ability to develop, coach, and motivate teams.
• Highly proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused.
• Comfortable challenging stakeholders and influencing decision‑making.
• Experienced in using data and operational insights to drive performance improvements.
