Job summary:
To manage and optimise the flow of material into the UK Facility. Involving planning, scheduling, and coordinating the delivery of material to meet the production plan; while minimising costs and inventory levels
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, sales forecasts, and inventory policies.
- Coordinate with production teams to align material availability with production needs
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and analyse data to identify trends or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or capacity.
- Analyse supply chain performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and delivery standards.
- Communicate with production, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in meetings to provide updates on material planning and inventory status.
- Address and resolve material shortages or supply chain disruptions proactively.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks in material supply.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain role.
- Familiarity with production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Working Hours – Monday – Friday (38 hours per week, half day Friday)
Location – Round Spinney, Northampton (Office based, with some flexibility for occasional Home working)
Pension – 4% employer contribution Annual Leave – 25 plus bank holidays
