Overview:
Turbo Technics is a well-established precision engineering company based in Brackmills, Northampton. With over 45 years of experience, we specialise in the manufacture of high-quality parts and machinery for the turbocharger industry.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our Machine Shop team.

Key Responsibilities

* Operation of manual lathes and milling machines

* Producing components safely, accurately, and efficiently to specification

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, brass, plastics, and nickel cast iron

* Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, etc.)

* Adhering to company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards

Desirable Skills

* Experience in manual surface grinding and cylindrical grinding

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manual machining role

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Good understanding of engineering tolerances and quality standards

Hours of Work

40 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
