CNC Machine Operative

We are seeking an experienced

CNC Machine Operative with strong turning and milling skills to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Northampton.

• Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision machined components.
• Manufacture parts to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Perform tool changes, adjust offsets and set programs where required.
• Carry out in-process and finished part inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges).
• Ensure quality standards are met on every job and report any non-conformances.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the machine area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to production targets.

• Proven experience as a CNC operator with both turning and milling.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment and quality practices.
• Precision engineering or manufacturing background.
