The Opportunity

EMBS Engineering is recruiting a CNC Turner to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton on a 6‑month contracting basis.

Our client specialises in machining complex, medium‑sized components for highly regulated industries, including Motorsport, F1 and Automotive.

All candidates must be UK residents; DBS checks are required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Hours:

Afternoons – Mon – Thurs 2pm – 11pm / Fri 12pm – 8pm (earlier finish on Fridays)
6‑month contract

Your responsibilities include

Setting, operating and editing multi‑axis CNC turning machines
Machining complex, metallic, precision components for highly regulated industries such as Automotive, Motorsport, F1, Aerospace, within a fast‑paced environment
Working from engineering drawings / 3D models

Successful applicants must demonstrate

Minimum of 5 years experience setting, operating and editing multi‑axis turning machines using online controls – Siemens or Fanuc
Ability to program CNC lathes is preferable but not essential
Experience with twin‑spindle or live‑tooling CNC lathes advantageously
Ability to work from engineering drawings
Previous experience machining complex components, ideally within aerospace, motor sport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors
Experience of running CTX, CLX or Hardinge machines beneficial but not essential
