CNC Turner — Milton Keynes & Daventry. Up to £50,000.
Do you want to work for a company that supplies into the F1 industry? Work on brand new lathes within a modern workshop. You will be challenged and have opportunities to improve your machining skills daily.
The Company: a small but established subcontractor with an immaculate workshop, modern milling and turning machines, supplying mainly into the F1 and high-end automotive industries. They promote an open-door policy and regular team meetings where suggestions are welcomed. They have multiple sites and are looking for a CNC Turner at both Milton Keynes and Daventry sites.
The Job: you will join a small turning department, working on brand new Doosan Puma lathes, programming live tooling and operating Fanuc controls. You will make engineering decisions. Daily work includes cutting a variety of jobs, using aerospace-grade materials (e.g., Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, Steel). There may be some manual turning, but the main focus is CNC turning. You will work alongside other machinists in a lively shop floor environment.
Responsibilities- Operate and program Doosan Puma lathes with Fanuc controls
- Set tooling and manage live tooling (Y-Axis)
- Produce parts from aerospace-grade materials (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium, Steel)
- Contribute to engineering decisions and process improvements
- Work as part of a small turning team in a busy workshop
- Experience on Doosan lathes is advantageous
- Experience programming Fanuc controls with live tooling
- Ability to set tooling and operate lathes with Fanuc controls
