Impact Recruitment are working with a client to recruit an experienced Wood Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis. You'll be joining a well established business that manufacturer bespoke kitchen furniture and cabinetry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Wood Machinist to join a growing business where quality craftsmanship, precision machining and attention to detail are at the heart of everything they produce.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm

Location:

Northampton, Lodge Farm Industrial Estate

Salary: £14.00-£16.00 per hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Operate beam saws, edge banders and other relevant woodworking machinery.
Machine wood and sheet material components accurately to technical drawings and specifications.
Carry out cutting, edging, sizing, shaping and other manufacturing tasks.
Prepare and process a range of wood and sheet materials for production.
Quality check components throughout the machining process.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, finish and attention to detail.
Follow all health and safety procedures and safe machine operating practices.
Support other areas of the workshop and production operation when required.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Wood Machinist, CNC Machinist or Workshop Machinist within a woodworking, joinery or manufacturing environment.
Experience operating beam saws, edge banders or similar woodworking machinery.
Ability to read and accurately interpret technical and engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach to work.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Good practical skills and a strong understanding of wood manufacturing processes.
Reliable, consistent and proactive approach to work.
Willingness to support different areas of the workshop when required.

Benefits:

£14.00-£16.00 per hour depending on experience.
