We’re recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a friendly and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Northampton.
Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll be responsible for assembling and TIG welding a range of stainless-steel metallic hose products, working to precise quality standards.
This is a hands‑on role offering the chance to develop your welding skills and become involved across the wider hose manufacturing process.
The RoleYour responsibilities will include:
- TIG welding light-gauge stainless steel.
- Assembly of metallic hose products.
- Using welding jigs, fixtures, rotators and motorised turntables.
- Working from standardised work instructions.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Following all health & safety procedures.
- Keeping the welding area and equipment clean and well maintained.
- Supporting general workshop duties when required.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous TIG welding experience, particularly with light-gauge stainless steel.
- Experience using a welding rotator/turntable.
- The ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Trainees are also welcome to apply if you have basic Level 1 or Level 2 TIG welding skills. Salary will reflect experience and current skill level, with full on-the-job training provided.
- £15–£16 per hour, depending on experience
