Skilled TIG Welder – Excellent Permanent Opportunity

We’re recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a friendly and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Northampton.

Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll be responsible for assembling and TIG welding a range of stainless-steel metallic hose products, working to precise quality standards.

This is a hands‑on role offering the chance to develop your welding skills and become involved across the wider hose manufacturing process.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • TIG welding light-gauge stainless steel.
  • Assembly of metallic hose products.
  • Using welding jigs, fixtures, rotators and motorised turntables.
  • Working from standardised work instructions.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Following all health & safety procedures.
  • Keeping the welding area and equipment clean and well maintained.
  • Supporting general workshop duties when required.
About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous TIG welding experience, particularly with light-gauge stainless steel.
  • Experience using a welding rotator/turntable.
  • The ability to read and follow work instructions.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Trainees are also welcome to apply if you have basic Level 1 or Level 2 TIG welding skills. Salary will reflect experience and current skill level, with full on-the-job training provided.
