The Role

City Plumbing has a number of market leading propositions under its position as a leading national Plumbing & Heating Merchant, and the Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans to build and maintain a strong brand presence for The Bathroom Showroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging, creative development and implementation. Working closely across the wider marketing, digital and bathroom teams, the Brand Marketing Manager will develop and implement branding plans to strengthen the identity of key focus proposition (The Bathroom Showroom).
  • Manage the identity of the proposition, and ensure strong and consistent executions across all channels, and integration into the trading cycles resulting in customer awareness of City Plumbings USPs, leading to a strengthening of perception of the master brand.
  • Work closely with our suppliers to create and deliver value-adding brand partnerships and product launch activity, strengthening the presence of City Plumbing across the specific field.
  • Oversee & manage the delivery and fulfilment of customer acquisition campaigns, proactively reporting on the successes, working with channel experts in (but not limited to) PR, digital, Email, Social, web content, exhibitions, events, branch & sales team media, and call plans.
  • Develop, manage and launch key literature, including The Bathroom Showroom brochure, and their associated marketing launch plans, in order to support the specific propositions and their targeted audience.
  • Manage and support key internal/external events, including The Bathroom Showroom summit (Internal), and wider industry/relevant proposition external events, ensuring the propositions are communicated in the strongest way and land key messages.
  • Closely monitor industry and competitor activity as well as survey & customer research initiatives and scope the needs for customer insight across the propositions, reporting back to the business to support decision making.
Skills And Competencies
  • Strategic & Results-Oriented: A commercially-minded problem solver with 5+ years of experience in Brand, Marketing, or Communications.
  • Creative & Analytical:
    Combines excellent copywriting and creative application with strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset (including GDPR literacy).
  • Project & Financial Management:
    Highly organised and disciplined, with a proven ability to manage costs, timelines, and complex projects with sharp attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: A credible communicator capable of influencing at all levels and building lasting professional relationships.
  • Collaborative & Driven: A self-motivated team player with the enthusiasm to drive results and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience:

    5+ years in Brand/Marketing/Comms with solid GDPR and data knowledge.
  • Communication:
    Exceptional copywriting, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project Lead:
    Expert in cost management, organisation, and detailed project execution.
  • Mindset: A results-driven, creative problem solver with high energy and professional credibility.
