Senior Registered Nurse
Three Shires Hospital – Northampton
Hours:
22.5 hours per week (part‑time) – Permanent
Salary:
Up to £39,995.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Three Shires Hospital in Northampton is part of Circle Health Group, a leading independent healthcare provider. The role supports the Outpatients department.
The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern across 8:00‑8.30 pm Monday to Friday, and weekends 8:00‑4:00.
Duties Of This Role Include- Deliver high‑quality nursing care and lead on the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for complex patients
- Use advanced clinical knowledge to make timely and appropriate decisions, escalating where necessary
- Administer medication safely and monitor patient response, ensuring adherence to NMC and local protocols
- Delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe and effective workload management across the shift
- Uphold a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, medicines management, and risk reporting procedures
- Act as a key contact for patients and their families, offering clinical updates, reassurance, and information to support shared decision‑making
- Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions between services
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration
- Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant clinical setting
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team
- Strong clinical decision‑making, problem‑solving and time‑management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient‑focused approach
- Confidence in working independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role desirable
