Pool House Veterinary Hospital is a 24hr, 4 site practice. We are a team of 20 vets with a wide range of experience and skills including certificate holders in Anaesthesia, ECC, Imaging and Surgery, with more of our team working towards additional certificates. We are a busy practice with a truly varied workload.

Practice Highlights

We run our own OOH with a team of designated night vets and nurses, but with many of our day team opting to partake in our night rota. We encourage new/recent graduates to be involved with this rota as we feel this is an excellent way to learn and develop their skills but with the reassurance of a support rota from the senior vet team, should they need it.

The practice boasts a number of facilities including, X-ray, dental X-ray, laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasound and comprehensive lab. We are long standing practice with a dedicated and supportive team. We pride ourselves on high standards or patient care and customer service. This role will be suited to an experienced veterinary surgeon. Weekends and bank holidays are worked on a rota pattern.

The Equine Hospital is composed of two GA operating theatres and two standing theatres, large preparation area including 3 x DR digital X ray processing, two examination / radiography rooms and four sets of stocks. There is stabling for up to 34 horses. Other equipment includes mobile X - Ray machines, multiple ultrasound machines, laser surgery, arthroscope, laparoscope, shock wave machines, 3m digital gastroscope and two 1.4m fibre optic endoscopes and MRI.

We have an in-house laboratory covering an extensive range of tests, along with excellent RVN support.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Might Be a Great Fit If...
