We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Gardener / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at Billing Aquadrome. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the park's gardens, grassed areas, planted areas and general outdoor spaces to a high standard. You will help ensure the park is clean, tidy, attractive and welcoming for our holiday homeowners, visitors and guests.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in the appearance of their work.,
- Maintain grassed areas, lawns, flower beds, borders and planted areas throughout the park.
- Grass cutting, strimming, edging and general lawn maintenance.
- Hedge cutting, pruning and maintaining shrubs and plants.
- Planting, watering and caring for flowers, plants, trees and shrubs.
- Removing weeds and keeping planted areas neat and tidy.
- Clearing leaves, branches and other garden waste.
- Maintaining paths, communal areas and other landscaped areas.
- Carrying out seasonal planting and general garden preparation.
- Assist with maintaining trees and shrubs, including reporting any issues that require specialist attention.
- Use gardening and grounds maintenance machinery safely and appropriately.
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Keep tools, machinery and work areas clean and in good condition.
- Remove and dispose of garden waste appropriately.
- Report any hazards, damage, defects or maintenance issues to the relevant manager.
- Assist other members of the Grounds and Maintenance team when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and site rules.
- Provide a friendly and professional service to owners, visitors and colleagues.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by management., Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
- Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with training and instructions.
- Report accidents, hazards and defective equipment immediately.
- Ensure work areas are kept safe and tidy.
- Follow all park rules and procedures.
This is an outdoor, physically demanding role. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be required to work weekends, bank holidays and during busy periods. The role will involve prolonged periods of standing and walking, bending, lifting and carrying, as well as the use of gardening machinery and hand tools.

Essential- Previous gardening, grounds maintenance or similar outdoor work experience.
- Good practical and manual skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good understanding of health and safety when working with tools and machinery.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.
- Relevant gardening or horticultural qualification.
- Experience using strimmers, lawnmowers, hedge cutters and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- PA1/PA6 spraying qualifications.
- Chainsaw or other relevant machinery qualifications.
- Previous experience working within a holiday park, estate or large grounds environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Friendly and approachable.
