Bar Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in hospitality and mixology while working in a dynamic setting. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

• Serve drinks efficiently and accurately to customers at the bar and tables
• Take orders and provide recommendations on beverages and menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper billing
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well‑equipped throughout shifts
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Follow health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service
• Assist with setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special events as required
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn about drink recipes and customer service techniques
• Must be aged 18 or over in accordance with licensing laws
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
